A member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and a former special advisor to the House of Commons ODPM Committee, he is probably Britain’s most experienced urban design trainer. David Chapman is an experienced trainer and practitioner, with architectural and masterplanning experience in England, Scotland, Ireland and China. He is joint author of the RTPI’s From Design Policy to Design Quality, and is both a CABE and Architectural and Design Scotland project enabler. David is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and director at steppDESIGN. Scott Elliott Adams is an urban design practitioner who is a certified American planner with qualifications in architecture and urban design. He has worked on masterplanning and regeneration schemes in England, Scotland, the United States, China and Costa Rica. Scott is a member of Architecture and Design Scotland’s project enabling panel and is a director of steppDESIGN. The UDS team draws on leading specialists to contribute to events as appropriate.
