Urban Design Skills is currently organising its Autumn 2008 study tour schedule. We will be visiting some of Britain's must-see places.
Please feel free to contact us at info@urbandesignskills.com to suggest places you would like to visit in the coming months.
Alternatively, send us your email address below and we will keep you posted on forthcoming events:
The following are recent study tours UDS has facilitated:
 |
Gun Wharf, Plymouth
Gun Wharf replaces a 1950s council estate in a severely deprived neighbourhood,
which became one of the first projects under the New Deal for Communities
programme. |
| |
|
 |
Crown Street, Glasgow
The Crown Street area, part of Glasgow’s Gorbals district, is about a mile from the city centre, immediately south of the River Clyde. The development – of which Erroll Gardens is typical – marks the rediscovery of the urban street. |

|
 |
Charlton Down, Dorset
Charlton Down is a mainly housing development on the site of a former Victorian mental hospital, three miles north of Dorchester. When complete it will have around 550 housing units. |
| |
|
 |
Accordia, Cambridge
Accordia, two miles from Cambridge city centre, is a bold attempt to create relatively
high-density, high-quality housing on a large urban infill site, creating a strong street pattern with contemporary architectural design. |
